TLC influenster box!

I was lucky enough to receive a second Voxbox from Influenster!  This box was specifically for mothers.  It has several items including, a Dove soap bar, ANEW Reversalist complete renewal wrinkle smoother, Neo to go travel neosporin, Shell rewards card, Puffs travel, and a coupon fro free Breyers Gelato! So here is the breakdown....

1. Dove bar - I don't use bar soap regularly but my husband will certainly put this to good use.
2. Neo to go- With my little one falling at every turn, having a travel Neosporin is going to be so handy!
3. Puffs to go - Allergies plague my everyday... I think this travel pack will probably only last a day or so, but is a welcome addition to my purse!
4. Shell Rewards card - Personally I like to use my grocery store fuel points for gas discounts.  I rarely find myself at a shell pump, but I am willing to activate the card and see what discounts are available.
5. Breyers Gelato - I have purchased this product before and honestly wasn't impressed.  My first attempt was the caramel flavor and it was overly sweet.  This time I tried the triple chocolate, which was better but not on my future shopping list.
6. Avon ANEW - I tried this product and let several others in the office give it a go.  We didn't see any difference after applying.  We jokingly said it must be because we don't have any wrinkles.... I wouldn't find a need to purchase this product.

So this month's box came with an eyeshadow pallet, with 5 pretty colors. They apply nicely and keep from creasing like many cheep shadows would do. Per their website "Starlooks is a PRO quality makeup line, comparable to Makeup Forever, Sephora, M.A.C, Chanel, Dior, and other department store brands."

Here is a look I tried using 4 of the 5 colors. 

The next item was a lip gloss in the color "climax". It is a super pretty pink with a nice shimmer.

There was also a packet of wild flower seeds and a crystal to go along with the spring theme. Overall I am very happy with the items received! 

Sargento Ultra Thin VoxBox review

 Hey guys! I am super excited to share my very first VoxBox from Influenster.  I just signed up with them about a month ago and was really surprised to get a VoxBox this early.  The way the site works is, you link you various social media platforms and complete reviews to receive "Points" If you are a active member of the Influenster community you may be sent FREE products to review.  The box that I received came with voucher to try the new Ultra thin product.  I was able to take it to a local grocer and walk out with my free product! The other bonus was there was an additional item in the box... it was a SUPER cute lunch bag!!! It was such a great treat to receive this box in the mail and the cheese us super yummy and only 40 calories!!! I have a handful of invitations to share, if you are interested please let me know!

Unmentionable Cheeky is a monthly subscription service that sends you 2 pairs of panties a month for $7.00.  This is a pretty good deal considering Victoria Secret will charge you at least $6 per pair on a good day. They only send "Cheeky" style so you won't be receiving a thong with this company, which is perfect for me.  They send you pretty cheeky's, no granny panties here! Their site suggests getting a size larger than you would normally purchase, so that is what I did.  I received my first package yesterday and this is what I received.


The first pair is a pretty Aqua color (looks brighter in person) with nice lace detail.

The second pair is black and isn't quite as pretty... but it still has a lace detail in the back. 

I am glad I ordered the size up because they fit perfectly.  They are super comfy and cute, so I plan to keep this subscription to see what other options they send!

Hi guys!  Time for my second beauty box unboxing.  So I signed up for several services to review and identify the best of the best.  My first review was a about Birchbox, which you can see in an earlier post.  This review is about Glossybox, which I was really excited to receive.  One of the key differences between Birchbox and Glossybox is the price.  Glossybox is $21 a month an advertises high end beauty samples.  Usually they are either trial size or full size.

I have to admit, that I cheated and found as many spoilers as I could waiting for this box.  I knew there would be the Alex and Ani box which would include either a soap, lotion, or body spray.  I also knew there would be a bonus bangle bracelet valued at $28. So lets see what I got!!

Alex and Ani , Scent 7 Body Mist

Lets start with the Alex and Ani product, I received the body mist. I was happy to see I didn't get the bar of soap, but after smelling the spray I decided this to give it away. The smell is a combination of man and old lady... I am not sure how else to describe it.  There is certainly some lavender to the smell but it was just too manly for my liking. I literally offered it to 5 people before I had a taker.  I am sure their other scent options are stellar, but this one wasn't for me....

 Alterna Haircare, BAMBOO Volume Plumping Strand Expand

This item came in a trail size and advertises adding volume to your hair.  I still need to give this one a try, but the reviews on Amazon give it 4 out of 5 starts.  I am excited to try this one!

This was a full size sample and it is awesome!  I tried it this morning, and my lips are plump and free of dry skin.

Nails Inc, Brook Street NailPolish

Love nail polish!  I have to say in the past I have been a polish snob.... I only buy "Essie" or "Gelish" so I expected to be disappointed... but boy was I wrong!  This color is very pigmented and only needs one coat.  It is thick and applies smoothly. Now to see how long it lasts without chipping...  I will definitely look into purchasing this brand in the future.

Sisley Paris, Black Rose Cream Mask

This mask smells lovely and makes your skin super soft!  I would have considered buying this until I saw the price... I hope I can get a few uses out of this little bottle.

Alex and Ani Bangle, Swan

 The bracelet alone pays for this months subscription.  In reading blog posts it seems that most subscribers received a "Swan" bangle.  The posts on this bracelet were hit and miss. I was hoping to get one of the other varieties such as the 4 leaf clover, but the swan is pretty.  I am not a huge accessories kinda girl, so I gifted this to a friend.  She loves it, and wore it proudly all day.

Overall box value  $92.67!!!  This was totally worth the $21 I paid for it.  Thank you GlossyBox! Let me know what you guys think?

TheBalm Cheek and lip cream

This is soooo tiny and adorable, perfect for tossing in your purse. I expected a fruity scent and was disappointed to find no scent at all.  I suppose it is less desirable to have scented cheeks but for lip use it would be nice.  Full size this item is worth $32, mini size value $5.83.

Gilchrist & Soames body lotion

This item was so so... Not a fan of the smell. It really reminds me of hotel soap smell. Initially it felt nice and moisturizing but after 10-15 minutes it felt dry again. Full size this item is worth $16 mini size value $ 3.00.

Mighty leaf tea pouches. 

I received 3 of these tea bags and they are pretty yummy. I am not sure they are "better" than other tea, but I'm not disappointed. Full size this item is worth $9.95 mini size value $ 1.32.

This was a cute sample. This lightweight sunscreen is perfect for everyday use. Full size this item is worth $25.00 mini size value $2.80.

Hi, my name is Melody and I am new to this whole blog thing... I most recently stumbled upon beauty boxes. Watching hours of unboxing videos led to a new obsession, and multiple subscriptions to various boxes. I eagerly await their arrival,and plan to give detailed reviews, photos and videos.

In the meantime, I thought I would start with some background about me. I have always been pretty basic when it comes to makeup... a little eyeshadow and some mascara. Within the last year I started practicing applying nail polish, and with many hours of practice it no longer looks like a toddler painted my nails! I hope practice with makeup application will be equally successful.
